Dubai to host second Gulf Metrology Forum

It will be held on 22-23 April

The main focus of the forum will be on the importance of metrology in achieving net-zero targets and driving economic development.

The forum aims to raise awareness of the importance of precision measurement to improve the quality of products and services in various sectors such as industry, healthcare, energy and environment.

It will also focus on promoting innovation, creating more competitive products and identifying the latest trends in metrology. This is reported by
Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

The forum will be organised a month before World Metrology Day on 20 May and will foster collaboration between metrology experts.

The event will attract the participation of high-level representatives of international and regional metrology organisations, as well as directors of national standards agencies of the Gulf countries.

The forum will include training seminars on various aspects of metrology such as calibration of scales and instruments, chemical and biological metrology, and verification of pre-packaged products. A special session for young professionals will also allow them to exchange experiences and ideas in the field of metrology.
