Dubai Business Forum boosts economic ties with China
Cooperation with Chinese technology companies is a priority for the UAE’s economic growth
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, has expressed interest in strengthening cooperation with China, especially in the technology sector.
CGTN, a partner of TV BRICS, reports that he emphasised the importance of strengthening economic connections between the UAE and China, marking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
To promote investment opportunities and cooperation in emerging industries, Dubai Chambers is hosting the Dubai Business Forum in Beijing, the first overseas stop of the event.
Lootah emphasised the importance of the Chinese market for Dubai, noting that the choice of Beijing to host the forum is no coincidence. He also emphasised the importance of engaging with Chinese technology companies, especially in the small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) sector, which has seen significant growth in Dubai.
To promote the development of the digital economy, Dubai Chambers has established a dedicated branch that actively engages with Chinese technology industrial parks by organising roadshows and building partnerships.
Lootah believes that technology sharing is key to economic growth and that continued cooperation with Chinese technology companies is an important objective for Dubai Chambers.
