Diplomatic academies of Russia and the UAE sign memorandum of understanding
The Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) have signed a memorandum of understanding. This is reported by
Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.
The document talks about co-operation in training diplomatic staff and exchange of experience in teaching and research in the field of international relations. Active participation of teachers and researchers in the activities of both universities is also planned.
The signing ceremony in Moscow was attended by representatives of the educational institutions and UAE Ambassador to Russia Mohammed Ahmed Sultan Essa Al Jaber.

In addition, the head of the diplomatic mission gave a lecture on “UAE Diplomacy and Leadership” to the students. He spoke about the state’s foreign policy, its role on the world stage and ties with other countries.
For his part, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Dhaheri, Deputy General-Director of AGDA, noted the role of co-operation in the field of education in strengthening the authority of diplomacy on the world stage. In this context, the development of partnership between educational institutions of Russia and the UAE is an important step towards the prosperity of the two countries.
Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Dipakademy Aleksander Yakovenko said that within the framework of inter-university cooperation it is planned to pay attention not only to the training and professional development of diplomats, but also to the development of dialogue and research on topical issues of international relations.
