Cuba hosts International Fair of Food 2024
The state strengthens industry for the benefit of the Cuban people
The 4th International Fair of Food, Beverages, Packaging, and Food Technology (Cuba 2024) was held on May 21–23 at the Pabexpo Exhibition Complex in Havana, Cuba. This is reported by
Crónica Digital, a partner of TV BRICS.
The fair was created to promote adequate and healthy nutrition, which is the main mission of the sector’s authorities.
Javier Francisco Aguilar Rodriguez, First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Food Industry, said that one of the main objectives of the event will be to increase exports of Cuban products:
“This is an important fair for the sector, as it is attended by a significant number of foreign companies. It is an opportunity to showcase the portfolio of exported products for Cuban businessmen who, in one way or another, are involved in the food business.”
According to officials, more than 60 foreign businessmen were registered for the event and were able to learn about many Cuban products and prospects for positioning themselves in foreign markets.
In this way, the country can increase exports and find additional sources of income to purchase raw materials, fuel, and many of the goods that the Cuban population needs today.
According to the source, in recent years, Cuba has changed the legal legislation that strengthens the process of foreign investment in the country in order to streamline the processes and their approval.
