Chitgar Forest Park Rehabilitation Project begins in Tehran

It is driven by the objectives of protecting national lands and resources and preserving green spaces

Established in 1963, the Chitgar forest park, covering an area of about 14.5 square kilometres, plays a crucial role in reducing air pollution in the city.

The restoration plan includes tree watering measures, pest problems and give away. This is reported by
Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.

A special working group has been set up to prevent the trees from drying out and regenerating and to oversee the implementation of the restoration plan. This group will also be responsible for issuing planting certificates, providing water for irrigation, creating a new water network for green spaces, removing dry and infected trees and planting new ones in their place.

Regular and scheduled watering of withered trees will be carried out during the month, and if necessary, new trees will be planted immediately.
