Chinese Foreign Minister and Brazilian President are meeting on the 19th of January
Wang’s official visit to Brazil is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties
After travelling to Africa, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Brazil. The clear intention to take this partnership to the next level is evidenced by the inclusion of Brazil in the Chinese minister’s first international cycle of visits this year. This is reported by

The meeting between Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Wang Yi is a part of the agenda of Brazil’s G20 presidency. The recent expansion of the BRICS group will also become the key topic. During his trip to China last year, Lula advocated greater use of the Chinese currency in global trade.
Agreements, including visa extensions, are expected to be signed during the meeting. It will reflect mutual efforts in strengthening economic and diplomatic relations.
There is a great convergence between the two contries to strengthen strategic communication and cooperation on regional and global issues, such as combating climate change and inequality, accelerating economic growth and energy transition, reforming international institutions and promoting world peace.
