BRICS+ International Youth Camp to focus its activities on development of educational tourism in the country

One of the priority tasks of the BRICS+ international camp is to introduce the cultural heritage and popularise the Russian language

The BRICS+ International School of Basic and Supplementary Education and the BRICS+ Children’s Camp of the same name have started operating in Moscow. Schoolchildren will acquire a wide range of skills: from public speaking to logistics market research, from effective negotiations to peacemaking diplomacy.

Participants of the educational shifts will automatically become members of the Young Experts Club, where they will continue their pre-professional development in the BRICS international space.

“Educational tourism is one of the most promising areas of humanitarian co-operation. Nowadays it is especially important to create eventfulness – to hold forums, to implement a programme of historical education, to motivate foreign schoolchildren and students to visit the country for academic purposes. The Russian side has shown considerable interest in the educational traditions of the BRICS countries and inspires the young generation to study Chinese and Arabic, creates conditions for immersion in the culture of the countries, for example, through the organisation of events in the framework of the cross-cultural years of Russia and China“

Gunay Abilova Director, BRICS+ International School

“One of the priority tasks of the BRICS+ International Camp is to open ’a window to Russia’. To show both the natural beauties of the country and to introduce the cultural heritage, popularise the Russian language. We have worthy educational and tourist products with which we will enter the international market of educational services,” she added.

The BRICS CAMP will host a summit of young BRICS experts this summer. Its participants will master the sphere of event organisation, conduct research into the existing markets of the economies of the BRICS countries and learn to communicate with representatives of other countries and cultures.
