BRICS Innovation Forum to be held at Innopolis University
Representatives of China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Brazil, India, Egypt, Ethiopia, South Africa and Iran will gather in Russia in early October to take part in the first BRICS Innovation Forum. The event will take place at
Innopolis University, a partner of TV BRICS International Media Network.
The meeting, organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation with the participation of the Kazan Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences, will take place on 2-4 October as part of the International Forum Digital Innopolis Days 2024 (DID x AI IN 2024). The forum programme includes four thematic areas devoted to chemistry, quantum technologies, agriculture and ecology.
According to the organisers, the event aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as investment practices in advanced technologies of the BRICS countries. It is expected that thanks to the forum, a network of partnerships of the scientific and innovation system of the association’s states will be formed.
“This year we expect about 3,000 participants in person and online. Among them are employees of Russian IT companies, scientists and researchers of artificial intelligence, representatives of business and public authorities,” said Iskander Bariev, Director of Innopolis University.
The forum will also host the sixth meeting of the BRICS working group on the development of scientific and technological cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation. The iBRICS innovation network will be the subject of discussion. In addition, the issues of cooperation between the countries in the field of technology transfer and the implementation of the BRICS Action Plan on Innovation Cooperation will be raised.
Registration for DID x AI IN 2024 is open until 20 September for offline participants and until 2 October for online participants. TV BRICS is the international media partner of the forum.
