Brazil’s GDP growth was 0.1 per cent in the third quarter of this year
Brazil is ahead of a number of countries in terms of current GDP value
Brazil’s GDP figures for the third quarter exceeded expectations and reached US$2.126 trillion), up 0.1%. This was reported by
Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.
According to a study by economist Alex Agostini, Brazil’s national GDP ranks ninth among 15 countries.
In terms of current GDP, Brazil is ahead of Canada, Russia, Mexico, South Korea, Australia and Spain.
Leading the ranking are the United States with $26.949 trillion and China with $17.700 trillion.
Brazil’s GDP growth was 0.1 per cent in the third quarter compared to the previous three months and 2.0 per cent compared to the third quarter of 2022. The figures were above the expectations of market analysts, who had assumed a 0.2% quarter-on-quarter decline and 1.9% annualised growth.
