Brazil’s Cabinet discusses the country’s accession to One Belt, One Road initiative

The government is already preparing a proposal aimed at Brazil’s accession to the project

Brazilian President Lula da Silva announced that the government is debating the country’s accession to the One Belt, One Road initiative, a global infrastructure and investment project of China. This is reported by

Earlier, Lula da Silva said he would attend this year’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting and advocated for Brazil to move even closer to China.

According to Fudan University in Shanghai, 151 nations have already joined the One Belt, One Road initiative since its launch in 2013.
