Brazilian authorities relaunch their campaign to support education
The Brazilian government has relaunched the campaign, with a significant focus on improving education. The initiative, launched in May, was suspended due to natural disasters in Rio Grande do Sul. This is reported by
Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.
The information part of the campaign consists in broadcasting 60-second videos on the most popular TV channels and digital platforms in the country, which focus on one of 4 themes: health, agriculture, economy, education. In addition, abridged 30-second versions of the videos will be available.
Since the beginning of 2023, the education sector in Brazil has undergone a significant transformation. The government has adopted a number of measures, which, as the publication writes, are already producing results.
For example, the Pe de Meia student financial support programme has benefited 2.5 million students. In addition, more than 39 million schoolchildren have been provided with improved meals in educational institutions. The country has also opened about 100 new institutions for specialised secondary and higher education.
