All communities will be serviced in Tshwane: Mashaba

ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba says all parties that have agreed to vote for Dr Nasiphi Moya as the executive mayor of Tshwane have committed to revive service delivery.

Mashaba was speaking at a briefing by the parties ahead of the election of a new mayor.

The African National Congress (ANC) which has the majority seats has agreed to field Moyo for the position following negotiations with ActionSA.

Former mayor, Cilliers Brink was removed two weeks ago during a motion of no confidence by the ANC with the support of seven parties.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) intends to file his name again for the position.

Mashaba says all communities will be serviced.

“When you are in government, you have a constitutional responsibility to service everybody. Those who voted for you, those who did not. I think that is one thing the partners here, who are going to vote Dr Moya into office – we are giving that commitment that service  delivery is going to be directed to all the communities in the city of Tshwane.”
