Lula approves law establishing a cultural system in Brazil

Such a system aims to promote human, social and economic development

The measure approved by the Senate establishes the base of the National System of Culture (SNC) for the joint management of public cultural policies.

The constitutional text provides that a federal law will regulate the SNC and its interaction with other national systems and sectoral public policies. This is reported by
Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.

These include the diversity of cultural expressions, the universalisation of access to cultural goods and services, and the promotion of the production, dissemination and circulation of knowledge and cultural goods.

The measure consist of governing bodies, cultural policy councils, conferences and inter-ministerial commissions in the relevant areas of the federation.

It also includes cultural plans, sector funding systems, cultural information and indicators, training programmes and sectoral methodologies.
