He said this at the China Development Forum in Beijing
China’s Vice Minister of Commerce Guo Tingting said at the China Development Forum in Beijing that China will continue its efforts to attract foreign investors and create a better business environment
In his speech, Guo said China is actively promoting joining international agreements and opening up its economy to international partners.
In addition, China has been promoting the construction of a market-oriented, law-based and international first-class business environment, Guo stated, citing the example of the “24 measures for foreign-invested enterprises” issued last year, in which China launched 59 specific policies and measures in six major aspects on issues like cross-border flow of data, government procurement, and facilitating work and life of foreign personnel in China. This is reported by
CCTV+, a partner of TV BRICS.
“We have conducted a phased evaluation, and more than 60 percent of the measures have been implemented or have made positive progress, receiving positive feedback from foreign-funded enterprises,” Guo said.
He also announced the implementation of a series of measures to develop free trade zones and create a favourable business environment for foreign companies. Guo expressed his intention to continue modernising free trade zones, creating an ideal international business environment and improving services for foreign enterprises to attract even more investment to China.
The forum, which lasts two days and brings together representatives from various organisations and companies, is dedicated to discussing China’s economic development and potential.
