Premiere of concert by Digital Orchestra by Golikov symphony orchestra took place on Mozambique’s main TV channel

The programme included well-known classical and contemporary compositions

Public Television of Mozambique (
TVM), a partner of TV BRICS, premiered a festive concert by the Digital Orchestra by Golikov symphony orchestra.

World and Russian classics were performed, as well as compositions dedicated to Christmas and the New Year: the adagio from Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s ballet “The Nutcracker”, the famous composition “Let it snow”, which was given a new sound by Dmitry Lautalo and Alexandra Pobedonostseva and a medley “Christmas in films”.

“The televised Christmas concert of the symphony orchestra made a great impression. We decided to choose prime time for its broadcast. The concert was also repeated for those who did not have time to watch the premiere. This kind of content exchange not only strengthens friendly relations between our TV channels, but also contributes to the development of cultural exchanges between countries,” said TVM Programme Director Floriberto Fernandes.

“I am insanely happy that such a premiere has taken place. I think this is a great opportunity for all Mozambicans to hear new to them, very interesting music. This is a piece by Dunayevsky from the film “A Girl in a Hurry for a Date”, and “5 Minutes” from “Carnival Night”. In addition, works of well-known Russian classics were performed in the concert. Familiarity with each other’s culture will give impetus to the development of further fruitful partnerships,” said Mikhail Golikov.
