Chinese province’s Heilongjiang foreign trade shows growth
Foreign trade volume from Heilongjiang up 14.5 per cent
According to a report from the local customs administration, the external trade in goods from Heilongjiang province, China, experienced a 14.5% growth, amounting to 241.94 billion yuan ($33.83 billion) during the first 10 months of this year, in comparison to the corresponding period in the previous year. Imports to the province increased 6.8 per cent to 182.08 billion yuan ($25.6 billion), while exports rose 46.5 per cent to 59.86 billion yuan ($8.4 billion).
Trade between the province and partner countries under the Belt and Road Initiative totalled 204.37 billion yuan(26.6 billion USD), accounting for 84.5 per cent of Heilongjiang’s total foreign trade. The figure was up 14.5 per cent year-on-year.
Exports of mechanical and electrical products, highly processed products and agricultural products maintained high growth rates. The province’s imports of agricultural products, metal ores and ore sand also increased.
