More than 586 billion yuan (about $81.7 billion) of investment was signed at the Liaoning 2023 International Investment and Trade Fair, which kicked off on Monday in the northeastern province of Liaoning.
According to the fair’s organisers, 271 investor agreements were signed after the opening ceremony in the provincial capital Shenyang.
About three thousand representatives of economic and trade delegations from home and abroad, as well as companies from business associations, will attend the three-day event.
This year’s fair, dedicated to jointly promoting new breakthroughs and sharing new development opportunities, includes forums, exhibitions, and business cooperation activities, as reported by
Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
The event, held four times already, has become an important tool for Liaoning Province to implement a three-year project on new breakthroughs in complete revitalisation. The exhibition also serves as a high-end platform for building a new frontier of opening up in northeast China.
