African National Congress (ANC) National Working Committee(NWC) member Barbara Creecy says a final list of the party’s Gauteng Provincial Task Team will be announced on Wednesday.
Creecy was speaking on the sidelines of her engagement with Gauteng provincial structures today at the Johannesburg Theatre.
The ANC’s NWC is this weekend engaging the Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal provincial structures on the National Executive Committee’s decision to reconfigure their leadership in a bid to rebuild the organisation.
Creecy says engagements with structures are going well.
“After a very thorough discussion that we have had over the last six or seven months since the electoral outcomes of 2024, we have analysed what is behind the electoral defeat here in Gauteng and I think what we feel is that you can’t build public support for an organisation unless you start on the inside and rebuild the strength of that organisation itself. I think there was a good reception, there was no conflict in this meeting and I think we are all looking forward to going to do work.”
