India ranks highest in global digital wellbeing index

The country also leads in online satisfaction

India has secured the top position in the global digital well-being index, scoring 67 out of 100, highlighting strong trust and support networks between parents and teenagers, as reported by
IANS, a partner of TV BRICS. The country also leads in online satisfaction, with 58 per cent of respondents expressing positive digital experiences.

According to recent findings, Indian teenagers benefit from the most extensive support networks, with guidance from 9 to 12 sources, including parents, teachers, and mentors.

Parental involvement has increased, with 70 per cent of parents actively monitoring their children’s online activities, up from 62 per cent in 2023.

With growing digital engagement, India’s leadership in online safety and digital well-being underscores the need for continued education, the source claims.
