Zimbabwean children embark on transformative cultural exchange to Russia for BRICS Plus Festival

They will participate in the International Sports, Arts, and Culture Festival

Ten underprivileged children from Zimbabwe are embarking on a life-changing cultural exchange trip to St. Petersburg, Russia, thanks to the initiative of the First Lady of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Auxillia Mnangagwa, a patron of the Angel of Hope Foundation. This is reported by
The Herald, a partner of TV BRICS.

The children, residents of the Auxillia Mnangagwa Children’s Home (formerly Chambuta Children’s Home) in Chiredzi, will participate in the BRICS Plus International Sports, Arts, and Culture Festival.

This significant opportunity provides these children with a unique chance to broaden their horizons and experience a different culture. Their journey is a testament to Zimbabwe’s commitment to empowering vulnerable children and providing them with opportunities for personal growth and development.

The BRICS Plus festival promotes peace, security, development, and cooperation among BRICS nations and beyond through sports and cultural exchange. The children will participate in various sporting activities and engage in enriching cultural programmes, fostering international connections.

The First Lady, in her parting words, acknowledged the generosity of Russia in extending this invitation, providing a platform for these children to showcase their talents on a global stage.

This initiative showcases the power of international collaboration in providing children with opportunities to thrive.
