Iran’s nanoproduct exports surge by 110%

This growth reflects the country’s expanding influence in global nanotechnology markets

Iran’s nanotechnology sector has experienced significant growth, with exports of nanoproducts increasing by 110 per cent over the past year, totalling US$145 million, as reported by Emad Ahmadvand, Secretary of the Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council (INIC).

According to Ahmadvand, the overall sales of Iranian nanoproducts reached US$1.62 billion, with around 9 per cent of this volume directed toward international markets.

Among the key markets for Iran’s nanoproducts are India, China, and Turkey, which together accounted for 60 per cent of total exports. This is reported by
ParsToday, a partner of TV BRICS.

Ahmadvand highlighted that the impressive export growth underscores Iran’s rising stature in the nanotechnology industry, with increasing demand for Iranian nanoproducts across various sectors in both domestic and international markets. This expansion not only demonstrates the effectiveness of Iran’s investment in nanotechnology but also enhances its presence in high-tech export markets worldwide.
