Corruption charges against Kodwa, Mackay withdrawn

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has withdrawn corruption charges against former Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa and his co-accused, former EOH Executive, Jehan Mackay.

The pair made representations to have their charges dropped.

They made a brief appearance at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court this morning.

The former Minister is charged with violating the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act and the Prevention of Organised Crimes Act for allegedly soliciting bribes worth one-point-seven million rand in exchange for government kickbacks from Mackay.
