Political parties in Tshwane have welcomed the announcement of the new Members of the Mayoral Committee (MMC), introduced by newly elected Mayor Dr. Nasiphi Moya on Sunday at Tshwane House.
The multiparty coalition includes representatives from ActionSA, EFF, ANC, and the GOOD party. Key appointments include Aaron Maluleka from the ANC as MMC for Housing and Settlements, Sarah Mabotsa from GOOD as MMC for Economic Development and Spatial Planning, Tshegofatso Mashabela from the EFF as MMC for Health, and a councillor from ActionSA, Coetzee, as MMC for Community Safety.
Commenting on the appointments, the mayor says, “The team is credible and formidable, and we believe they will turn things around. We’ll give them a hundred days to assess progress, but we are confident that we will not be disappointed.”
The new team is expected to strategise on finances, infrastructure, and development for the city in the coming days.
