MKP shocked that NPA not prosecuting anyone in Phala Phala robbery

The uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) has expressed shock at the decision of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) not to prosecute anyone in relation to the robbery on President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala farm in Limpopo.

The prosecuting authority, in a statement, said there were no prospects of success in the matter.

Former Director-General of the State Security Agency (SSA), Arthur Fraser lodged a criminal complaint against Ramaphosa in 2022.

The official opposition has decried the move and accused the NPA of being captured.

MKP held a media briefing in Sandton, Johannesburg.

The party’s Deputy President, Dr. John Hlophe says the President is guilty of tax evasion.

“As we all know, money was not disclosed to the taxman, and it was hidden under the mattress, it clearly means that it was tax evasion. The President evaded tax, there’s no two ways about it. The President is guilty of tax evasion. The suggestion by the NPA that there are no reasonable prospects of success is nonsensical to say the least,” says Hlophe.
