The musical adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s “Anna Karenina” was performed at the Beijing National Centre for the Performing Arts during the celebrations of the National Day of the People’s Republic of China. This is reported by

Reflecting on the previous tour in China, lead actress Anfisa Kirillina shared her excitement with journalists and fans in Beijing ahead of the premiere, saying that the entire tour was sold out and the actors had massive queues of people lining up after each performance.
The previous tour of “Anna Karenina” in China took place at the end of last year and the beginning of this one, and its return has sparked excitement on Chinese social media. Kirillina noted that despite performing in Russian with subtitles, Chinese audiences were deeply moved by the music and performances.
