Iranian Space Agency (ISA) President Hossein Salarieh said 14 domestically-made satellites are ready to be launched soon, while another 30 are under construction for various purposes, as reported by
Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.

The official also noted that 12 satellites have been successfully put into orbit since 2021, indicating that the production of domestically-made satellites is accelerating as the ISA establishes joint projects with the country’s private sector.

Earlier this year, Iran successfully sent the domestically designed Mahda research satellite into space along with two payloads on a domestically designed Simorgh launch vehicle.

Iran is among the world’s top 10 nations capable of developing and launching satellites, which justifies its interest in the space sector, as the growth of this sector can drive development and attract and retain skilled professionals in various fields and sectors.
