Russian high school students win at the first International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence

Schoolchildren from 39 countries took part in the finals of the Olympiad

A Russian team of high school students has won gold medals at the first International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI). This is reported on the official website of the Russian government.

The team showed the best results in the scientific round of the competition and won silver in the practical stage.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko congratulated the team on the victory and noted their exceptional talent, persistence, and deep knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence.

“You have proved to yourselves and the whole world that Russia is in the safe hands of the future generation, ready to solve the most complex tasks and open new horizons in the field of technology,” he said.

At the competition, participants solved problems related to real scientific research in the field of AI using programming skills, knowledge of Python libraries, and the basics of machine learning.

Schoolchildren from 39 countries took part in the finals of the Olympiad. The next Olympiad, IOAI 2025, will be held in China.
