Experts from 20 countries take part in the International Symposium on Cultural Heritage Conservation by Digitization in China

The capital of China, Beijing, is hosting the seventh International Symposium on Cultural Heritage Conservation by Digitization. This is reported by

The main theme of the event is “Reformatting: Digital Heritage Driven by Technological Innovation”. The agency specifies that the forum is dedicated to new technologies and models of digitalization in the field of cultural heritage protection.
More than 300 specialists from 20 countries are taking part in the event. They are expected to present more than 100 professional reports and cases covering various fields.
Speaking at the opening of the forum, Yang Bin, vice president of Tsinghua University, stated that, in his opinion, the discussions at the event will have a positive impact on the development of science and technology, education, and other fields.
Xie Bing, deputy head of China’s National Cultural Heritage Administration, said the rapid development of digital technology has created unprecedented opportunities for cultural heritage preservation. He welcomed more countries to join the Alliance for Cultural Heritage in Asia, the Chinese government said.
