India plans to realise the concept of smart villages
Officials intend to use 5G technology to improve the quality of life in rural communities
The Government of India has urged telecom providers to participate in the 5G smart villages initiative. This is reported by

India’s Telecommunications Department Secretary Neeraj Mittal has urged the industry to contribute to the programme. The minister prioritised the development of rural areas: improving digital literacy of residents, improving connection services and implementing sustainable practices.
The experts emphasised the need to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural populations. They noted that integrating innovations such as 5G with traditional rural practices is the way to sustainable growth and improved living standards in rural areas.
