BRICS Games to be held in Brazil in 2025
Brazil will host the next BRICS Games to be held in 2025. The announcement was made during a meeting of BRICS sports ministers. This is reported by the official
website of the Government of Brazil.
The BRICS Games in Russia were an opportunity for athletes who wanted to discover their talents and will remain a driving force for those who want to grow and develop. This opinion was expressed by Brazil’s Sports Minister Andre Fufuca.
“We have great athletes who have revealed themselves thanks to these Games. I believe they will be a driving force for all athletes who want to grow, develop and leave a legacy. Brazil is capable of presenting a great action and many sporting events,” he stated
According to him, the choice of the venue is between the cities of Salvador and Fortaleza in the north-east of Brazil. The minister said that holding the BRICS Games in Brazil would help attract investment to the developing region in the north-east of the country.
From 12 to 23 June 2024, Kazan hosted the BRICS Games, an international competition. It was the first time Russia became the organiser of this event.
