Vietnam aims to make tourism key economic sector with sustainable growth by 2030
The tourism development plan, recently approved by Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Tran Hong Ha, aims to attract 25 to 28 million foreign tourists by 2025 and increase the number of domestic travellers to 130 million with an annual growth rate of 8-9 percent.
Tourism is scheduled to directly contribute 8-9 percent and 13-14 percent to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) by 2025 and 2030, creating about 6.3 million jobs by 2025 and 10.5 million by 2030.
Vietnam will actively work to revitalise domestic tourism, develop new markets such as golf, sports and adventure tourism, and attract tourists from various countries. The plan is to maintain traditional markets and attract visitors from developing countries. This is reported by
Vietnam News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
By 2045, tourism is expected to be the driving force behind the country’s economy, attracting millions of international tourists and generating significant revenues. Tourism development will also contribute to preserving cultural values, creating jobs and improving the quality of life of the local population.
