Deputy Head of Mission of Cuban Embassy in India highlights developing relations between India and Latin American country

Cuba as an ideal destination for India’s investment and trade expansion in Latin America and the Caribbean was among the exhibits at an international business conclave

At the event, attended by ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the South Asian country, Deputy Head of Mission of the Cuban Embassy in India, Abel Aballe Despaigne, highlighted the qualities that make the Caribbean country an ideal centre for setting up Indian companies. This is reported by
Prensa Latina, a partner of TV BRICS.

In this regard, he referred to its privileged position in the Caribbean and its links with all regions of the world, its scientific potential, political and social stability, and the government’s vision for the country’s development.

India has been a reliable partner of Cuba for many years. He said common causes in the global South, capacity building and soft loans for development projects are some of the key aspects of relations between the two countries.

He also noted the opportunities Cuban trade provides for investment in tax and legislative matters, as well as the constant process of updating laws and policies and adopting new measures for the benefit of business with the Caribbean country.

This year’s event, which also promotes the exchange of goods between India and other countries, is being attended by over 300 industrial entrepreneurs from various sectors among 1,500 delegates.
