They will perform popular works of Russian and foreign classics
Famous Russian and foreign musicians will perform at the Iyun’skoe sozvuchie concert (June Consonance) within the X International Tchaikovsky Festival of Arts, which will be held in Moscow and Klin from 21 to 30 June.
Laureates of the International Tchaikovsky Competition 2023: South Korean pianist Suah Ye, mezzo-soprano Maria Barakova, and Zhang Kailin, winner of the IX International Viola Masters Competition, will gather on one stage on 27 June to perform works by Sergey Rachmaninoff, Camille Saint-Saens, Pyotr Tchaikovsky and other composers.
The event was initiated by Anastasia Ushakova, chair of the youth section of the Association of Laureates of the International Tchaikovsky Competition.
“We are happy to see that foreigners appreciate Russian culture and understand the significance of Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s music, treat it with delight and awe. On the 27th, the laureates of the youth festival will perform,” she said.
According to Anastasia Ushakova, the organisation of the concert became possible because the IV International Tchaikovsky Youth Festival will be held during the show.
More than 30 musicians from 8 countries – China, Italy, Japan, Mongolia, Russia, South Korea, USA, Venezuela, Italy, China, Mongolia, Russia and the USA – will take part in 9 concerts included in the programme of the X International Tchaikovsky Arts Festival.
