This is stated in a statement issued by the two countries following the visit of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Beijing. This is reported by

“The two sides confirmed their determination and willingness to strengthen cooperation within the framework of the BRICS Group in order to achieve the common goals and aspirations of the group,” the document said.

Earlier, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. The two leaders discussed “ways to expand the comprehensive strategic partnership.” Xi Jinping expressed recognition of the UAE’s importance as China’s strategic partner, stressing the stable development of relations between the two countries.
