The volume of Iran’s greenhouse products increases to 4.319 million tonnes
The food surge was noted by Iranian officials
According to Iranian Agriculture Minister Mohammad-Ali Nikbakht, the overall amount of greenhouse land has expanded significantly from 20,699 hectares to 23,238 hectares. This is reported by
Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.
He emphasised the great potential that exists in different parts of the nation for the growth of greenhouse farming, pointing out that this might help conserve water resources, boost output, generate employment, and export agricultural goods outside.
Increased productivity, the creation of jobs, the development of underprivileged and low-income areas, the self-sufficiency of rural families, increased food security, and an increase in agricultural product exports can all result from supporting the building of greenhouses and improving the cultivation of agricultural products.
An official declaration claims that 23,000 hectares of land are farmed in greenhouses across the nation.
One of the Iranian Agriculture Ministry’s top priorities is the Greenhouse Development Programme, which attempts to improve the agricultural sector’s productivity, efficiency, and water use control.
