Scholars, methodologists and teachers from 116 countries take part in Kostomarov Forum

This is one of the largest events concerning the teaching of the Russian language

Modern methods of teaching Russian language and literature were discussed by the participants of the fourth Kostomarov Forum, where 116 countries were represented. Its programme included more than 30 events: panel discussions, seminars, conferences, master classes, creative meetings with writers, presentations of new projects and modern research.

The Forum, organised by The Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, was held for the fourth time. According to the organisers, they received more than 6000 applications for participation. TV BRICS is the information partner of the event.

Among the guests were cultural figures, representatives of the authorities, business and public organisations, as well as writers, poets and publicists. Ksenia Komissarova, Editor-in-Chief of TV BRICS, and Tamara Skok, Director of the Department of Innovative Linguistic Projects of the international media network, took part in the forum.

“Our TV programmes, stories and documentaries about Russia are systematically broadcast on the platforms of the network’s foreign media partners in Russian dubbing with subtitles in national languages. This is how we promote the image of the Russian language in the BRICS+ media space. For example, a series of programmes about small towns in the Moscow region is currently being successfully disseminated in Chinese social networks, official media in China, and also aired on DUrbanTV in South Africa. The programmes will soon be seen by viewers of Rio de Janeiro public television in Brazil. TV BRICS’ own videos are used during educational teleconferences organised for foreign universities by the specialists of the TV BRICS project “Modern Russian”
