The 5th World Blacks and Africa Festival of Arts and Culture in Kisumu is postponed due to weather conditions

The event is rescheduled because of severe floods and heavy rains in Kenya

The FESTAC AFRICA FESTIVAL is a platform for the convergence of many cultures and sectors, honouring African heritage, solidarity, and sustainable growth.

The Festival seeks to promote intra-African trade, foster global networking for business, and celebrate the distinctiveness and identity of Africa.

With numerous delegations from throughout Africa and the world confirming their participation in the celebration of African heritage, culture, and sports, including the East African Community games, as well as sustainable growth that acts as a hub for the blending of various cultures, preparations have been moving quickly.

The FESTAC AFRICA, a partner of TV BRICS, was scheduled to take place in Kisumu from May 20–26, 2024.

The celebration has been postponed due to the severe and unpredictable weather that has been plaguing Kisumu and the rest of Kenya after heavy rainfall and severe flooding. This was reported by the FESTAC Organising Committee.

The event has been rescheduled for August 25 – September 1, 2024.
