The new Chinese ambassador to India reports on the prospects of cooperation between the two countries
China and India establish advantageous bilateral ties
The recently appointed Chinese ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, gave an update on the growth of bilateral exchanges and collaboration in a number of areas.
In an exclusive interview with China Global Television (CGTN), Xu discussed his thoughts on the significance of positive China-India relations for the globe as well as his concerns about accepting a new role. This was reported by
CGTN, a partner of TV BRICS.
The Ambassador said in this interview that he plans to make every effort to strengthen understanding between the two nations, increase exchanges and collaboration in a variety of disciplines, and enhance and advance bilateral ties.
“I will follow the important consensus between our leaders, reach out to friends from all sectors of India, earnestly enhance the understanding and trust between the two sides, work to restore exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and create favourable conditions for a sound and steady China-India relationship,” he said.
The envoy claimed that Prime Minister Modi and President Xi Jinping had jointly arrived at the crucial conclusion that China and India are business partners rather than rivals and that there are significant chances for both nations’ development.
The source claims that China and India have similar views on supporting multilateralism, advancing global recovery, guaranteeing food security, and combating climate change.
Stability in international relations will come from improved collaboration and communication on regional and global challenges.
TV BRICS had earlier announced Ambassador Xu’s appointment.
